Rwandan Mission

Mike Mavity is over in Rwanda right now with a team of about 15 people serving in areas that many would run from.  You can catch all that is going on over at his blog.  It’s encouraging to read about all that the team is doing there.  Please remember to pray for them this week.  Later this week they will be witnessing the drilling of our second clean water well!

Lollipops & Excellence

As I was driving to the office a few weeks back there was a sign that caught my eye.  It simply read:

Lick from the lollipop of mediocrity once and you’ll suck forever.

This has stuck with me.  I can’t escape this statement.  God deserves our best.  What if we viewed our work as something that we did for Him rather than for our employer or family?  Here’s a good reminder of why we should strive for excellence in all that we do

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters                    Colossians 3:23

Let’s not skimp.  Let’s not view what we do as “good enough.”  I challenge you all today to look at what you do as something that deserves your full effort.  My grandfather was great for saying, “If something is worth doing, it is worth doing well.”  I have to live by this.  Why be half-hearted in what we do?

Please, put the lollipop down and go do your best…
