Reconciled Living

As Christmas is just 2 1/2 hours away right now I am in a mood of reflecting. Over the past week or so I have been thinking more on the reconciliation that comes through the birth of Jesus. We celebrate Christmas and enjoy unwrapping presents and spending time with family during this season but what is it all for?

The birth of Jesus made it possible for us to be brought back into relationship with God. He was, is, and will always be the reason why we are in fellowship with God. Once separated from God because of sin, now brought back and reconciled with Him. This all brings me to one main thought.

It’s time we start living reconciled lives. What does that look like? We start acting like sons and daughters of God. We start representing the Father to all around us. If Jesus, the Savior, was sent for all it’s time we start treating all with that same love. Jesus came and was ultimately crucified and resurrected for our sins. He was the final and perfect sacrifice that once and for all offered forgiveness for us.

Lord, thank you for coming to save us all. Thank you for reconciling us all with You. May we all live our lives in a way that glorifies You. May we live lives of worship for You as we help others connect with You. AMEN
