AKL’s Tribute for Andrew Allard

We hung out in Hooksett today and joined with about 50+ people who were attending a tribute for Andrew Allard. For those who are unfamiliar with who Andrew is:

Andrew was a 13 year old student and a very active member of GCC and Impact. In March of this year Andrew contracted meningitis and passed away just hours later. Andrew had a huge heart for people and always wanted to connect people with Jesus. His favorite verse was john 3:16 and he never stopped sharing it with everyone he met. He played in the Impact Student Worship Team as well as being a member of the band AKL, which one first place in the battle of the bands at the Hooksett Old Home Days in 2006.

AKL, the band that Andrew was a part of put together a concert for us while we were there and they played in honor of Andrew. The boys did a great job with the music and included a song written by Joey for Andrew titled “You Will Never Be Forgotten”. The song is very powerful and comes straight from Joey’s heart.

Many people were given an opportunity to help raise funds for the Andrew Allard Memorial Youth Center that we will be building at GCC. If you would like to help fund this building project in honor of Andrew Allard you can send your checks, made payable to Grace Capital Church – memo: Andrew Allard Memorial Youth Center, to Grace Capital Church, 542 Pembroke St, Pembroke, NH 03275.
