God’s fire won’t fall on empty altars

That was the final statement from the message tonight.  Tim Mossholder shared the story of Elijah and the prophets of Baal.  We all need to place things from our lives on the altar and let God consume them.  The service ended with all of the youth being given an opportunity to go to one of the adult leaders and confess things that may be in their lives that are keeping them from growing in their relationships with God.

Through this evening 4 youth gave their lives to the Lord for the very first time!   Praise God that He is faithful!  We are believing for more and more.  The Lord showed me the image of an iceberg as we were worshipping at the end of the service with the thought that there is so much more that we will see that the Lord will bring to the surface.

Please pray for this – that more and more will be revealed of who God is to these youth.  Tomorrow Mike Longfellow will be talking to the youth about the power of God and how we are meant to walk in that power.  The evening session will cover worship.  More to come on that…
